AmeriHealth Caritas Florida invites you to join our Disaster Trauma ECHO Series as an introduction to the importance of practitioner wellness and emotional well-being. This training will help providers access the therapeutic value of a shared community experience, and learn what treatment modalities to look for, including trauma-specific certifications, when seeking a mental health provider. Upon completion of this series, participants will develop their own definition of resilience. Providers can earn no-cost continuing medical education (CME) credit from the Medical University of New Mexico AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
*Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The University of New Mexico is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The ECHO Model (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) was developed by the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center with a mission “to ensure the right knowledge exists at the right place at the right time” and is now taught nationwide and throughout the globe. The ECHO model facilitates case-based learning for front-line practitioners via teleconferencing clinics. Similar to virtual chart rounds, the ECHO model creates a space where practitioners can share knowledge and build support to better manage patients with complex care needs.
For more information on Project ECHO, please visit the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center website or view the ECHO series flyer (PDF).
Series start date: September 12, 2023
